Virtual Mentoring in a Time of Pandemic

Now more than ever, the need to provide employees with access to mentoring relationships is critical.  As COVID-19 has cast a shadow of doubt and uncertainty in workplaces today, it is easy to bury our heads in the sand or move into crisis management mode and overlook the most critical needs of our employees.

As most of the country is under quarantine, employees are now working remotely and in isolation.  This can be a very lonely and uncertain time for most of our workforce and the need for connectivity is stronger than ever.  Encouraging connectivity and focus on personal and professional growth for employees helps to continue employee engagement and higher productivity.  The great news is, mentorship does not have to be done in person.  Mentorship delivered by phone or video conferencing has been proven to be even more effective.

We know the majority of employees participating in a mentoring program report it motivates them to do their best work, 88% of employees choose development over pay, and 77% of employers who offer mentoring say it leads to higher retention.

Engage Mentoring is a plug and play software that requires no setup or initial recruitment of mentors.  We take care of the administration, including matching and scheduling.  To learn more about the Engage Mentoring program, visit http://engagementoring.com.
