Each quarter, the Engage Mentoring Executive Talent Roundtables meet and have a focused discussion on a topic related to attracting, retaining, and developing talent.

At our recent Engage Mentoring Executive Talent Roundtable meeting, the focus topic was on creating employee volunteer programs and the impact on talent attraction and retention. To prepare for the discussion, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Craig Smaagard, RVP at Thrivent Financial and Founder of Activate Indy.

Some of the topics we discussed included the importance of volunteerism, particularly as it relates to employee engagement and retention strategies.

Have a listen to the full interview by following this link. Be sure to weigh in on this topic by sharing your thoughts and what strategies and tactics your company is using to attract and retain talent, particularly in the area of having an effective employee volunteer program.
